  I haven't been here but I have tried to schedule an appointment. But without the last 8 of my vin I can't do that. I understand that it is not hard for me to get that information but is it really necessary for me to have, just to make an appointment?
  Easier solution is I just call another dealership and schedule one in a shorter time then it takes to to do that.
  
  Something to think about for your service department. When you suggest to a customer to "call back when you have that" then how many people just call somewhere else. You probably are losing potential customers. But hey, who am I to say how you should run your business. Good luck.
